Alaska has 4,741 registered charities on the current register extract, of which 1,644 reported income in their latest return. Together they reported $6.75bn of income. The median charity took in $215k, while the largest tenth reported $3.5m or more, so a typical donation goes to a far smaller organisation than the household names at the top of this list.

Income is heavily concentrated: the ten largest charities account for 58% of the total. Across the whole group, 91 charities have a note from the register, such as overdue accounts or three years of spending above income, and those notes are shown on each charity's page.
