In the charity's own words

We improve the health and life experiences of babies and children in hospital by developing frontline programs that provide vital emotional support. When parents cannot be present due to financial pressures or the need to care for other siblings, we place trained companions by hospital bedsides to prevent emotional abandonment, delivering early preventative mental health care when it matters most.
